A camping holiday in Savoie is a chance to discover the many peaks that make the Vanoise massif famous. But do not limit yourself to sporting activities. If you feel tired, treat yourself to a wellness break in one of the specialist centres around the Eden de la Vanoise campsite. Many of them offer beauty and wellness treatments designed to soothe the body after winter sports.

A spa with a view of the mountains
Bains & Spa La Plagne is a must for a pleasant wellness break, about 20 km (30 min) from our campsite in Savoie. You will enjoy more than 1,500 m² dedicated to well-being, with a unique view of the mountains and snow-capped peaks.
What is more, the water in this spa is hot and thermal! It has major therapeutic effects that can relieve fatigue and other aches caused by sport. Among other things, the water helps strengthen muscles, improves joint mobility and reduces muscle cramps. A unique relaxation experience!
Nordic baths
Bains & Spa La Plagne also offers Nordic baths, ideal during your mountain camping stay in Savoie. They are a means of relaxation and therapy that has been used since ancient times. They are hot baths filled with water and bubbles, set up outdoors or in a dedicated room. In recent years, these baths have become increasingly popular for their benefits for physical health.
They promote muscle relaxation by increasing blood circulation and relieve joint and muscle pain through the pressure of the air jets. They are also good for the mind, as they help reduce stress: immersion in hot water and air bubbles increases the production of endorphins and happiness hormones.
The sauna
If you feel particularly tired during your camping holiday, we recommend the Espace Paradisio in Montchavin. It offers a range of body treatments and a quality sauna. As a reminder, as well as relieving muscle pain and stimulating blood circulation, the sauna has many other benefits.
It cleanses the skin by increasing sweating, promoting the elimination of toxins. It also boosts the immune system: by putting the body into a state of artificial fever, the sauna leads to greater production of white blood cells and antibodies, which in turn fight disease. These benefits are increased when the sauna is followed by a Norwegian shower. This type of cold shower can even help counter low mood and quickly bring a feeling of well-being and pleasure.
An invigorating massage
To relax your muscles and release tension, head to the Spa Ô des Cimes at CGH Résidence & Spa Les Granges du Soleil. This Savoie spa offers a wide selection of body and facial treatments as well as various types of massage by experienced professionals: leg and/or foot massages, personalised massage (La Merveille), back comfort (personalised techniques to relax the muscles and tension in this part of the body), sports treatment and more.
As well as massages, the spa also offers scrubs, tailored body massage, the Hanakasumi massage, massages inspired by ancestral Indonesian rituals and more. Every spa treatment adds exceptional moments of well-being to your camping holiday! Also ideal for a romantic weekend in Savoie!
Sébastien’s tipAfter a big day of skiing or hiking, do not put off relaxing until the next day: muscle aches set in quickly at altitude. Always book your spa or massage slot in advance in high season, these places get fully booked quickly at weekends in winter.
