The smallest lake in the Savoie-Mont-Blanc sector, Lake Aiguebelette nestles discreetly in the heart of the Epine mountain, a few kilometers southeast of Bourget-le-Lac.

Swimming is possible from the supervised beaches of its shores such as those of Lépin-le-Lac, Aiguebelette-le-Lac, Sougey, Saint-Alban or Pré-Argent. Thermal motor boats are prohibited, but you can learn to row, for example, or take a pedal boat ride.
The shores of Lake Aiguebelette offer magnificent walking and hiking itineraries. They are also welcoming for fishermen, who tease the lavaret with the ancestral technique of fishing with the gamba, a typical alpine technique.
Le Lac du Bourget

The built heritage on the shores of the Lac du Bourget is of a great wealth : don’t miss the ancient remains and Belle Époque buildings of Aix-les-Bains, the Hautecombe abbey, the flowery village of Chanaz and the priory of Le Bourget.
By staying in a campsite near the lake of Paladru, you will discover one of the wonders of the Voironnais country. The turquoise waters of the lake invite you to relax and there is a wide range of leisure activities on offer: swimming, cruises on sailing boats, paddle boats, canoes and pedal boats, but also fishing, walks and nature outings.
The lake of Paladru is famous for its lake archaeological riches: it is a privileged site of experimentation of the techniques of underwater archaeology. Fishermen take advantage of its pits of more than 35 meters deep, conducive to the development of a large fish fauna.
Finally, families can meet on the beaches of Paladru, Montferrat, Charavines or Le Pin to enjoy supervised bathing, children’s playgrounds and picnic areas.
