Which ski resorts can you discover on a weekend in the Tarentaise?<\/h2>

The Eden de la Vanoise campsite is at the gateway to the Paradiski<\/strong> area, one of the largest ski areas in the world. Les Arcs<\/a> is 30 km away, linked to La Plagne<\/a> and Peisey-Vallandry<\/a> (less than 11 km, a 15-minute drive): more than 400 km of slopes between the three.<\/p>\n

In Bourg-Saint-Maurice<\/a>, just 8 km away, take the funicular that climbs straight up to Les Arcs. La Rosi\u00e8re<\/a>, also less than 8 km away, opens onto the French-Italian San Bernardo area: ski on the French side, thrills on the Italian side in La Thuile.<\/p>\n

Fancy some big skiing? Tignes and Val d’Is\u00e8re<\/a>, less than 40 km away, together form an area with 300 km of slopes. More low-key, Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise<\/a> is 17 km away.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What activities should you plan for your weekend in Savoie? <\/h2>

In Savoie, hikers are spoilt for choice with the many trails in the heart of the mountains. From Aviernoz, set off on the Grande boucle du Parleman. From Bonneval-sur-Arc, you can also take the Balcon et refuge du Carro trail.<\/p>\n

With family or friends, head for the Vanoise National Park and its many trails for all levels, or Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France: stroll along its shores and swim in its clear waters if the weather allows.<\/p>\n

Fancy a quieter break? The spas of Aix-les-Bains, a Savoie town famous for its thermal waters, extend the relaxation (and in winter, its Christmas market<\/a> is worth a visit).
